EXALTO PObox 1534 3430 BM NIEUWEGEIN the netherlands |
Exalto delivers custom-made ferries for humanitarian transport. in impassable areas throughout the world. Reference A typical reference project is the ferry Exalto delivered for the Cicci /UNHCR / Pavarotti project in Zambia. Thousands of refugees living across the Zambezi river in Western Zambia were rescued. Because of our ferry, they can now be assured of steady flow of assistance throughout the rainy season. The ferry - donated by friends of Maestro Luciano Pavarotti to the Zambian government – was handed over by the United Nation. Research A quick scan gave us the necessary input of the conditions. After a field survey, concerning the physical conditions in the area, Climate conditions and interviews with the local officers of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the observations learned that this ferry had to perform in a geographical difficult area, under extreme harsh physical conditions at heavy and intensive use. To achieve the necessary transport performance and safe operation, the ferry has a length of 20 meters and a width of ca. 7 meters. It’s equipped with two propulsion units. The result: a massive transport unit with a carrying capacity of 60 metric tons and more.Building/deliverance/maintenance. We strive to deliver our product in main (assembled) parts of to the region. At the final destination we want to build (assembly) the ferry. This proven concept turned out to have some crutial advantages: |
